Beavertown Satellite presents as a vibrant, highly sessionable take on the American IPA. Despite its light stature at 2.8% ABV, it delivers an impactful citrus-forward profile likely driven by punchy New World hops. The experience begins with a bright, refreshing bouquet of grapefruit zest and lemon peel, supported by a very lean, crisp malt base. On the palate, the mouthfeel is smooth and remarkably light, emphasizing drinkability without sacrificing hop intensity. It finishes clean and dry, leaving a lingering, thirst-quenching bitterness that perfectly captures a scaled-down version of the classic style’s punchy character while remaining exceptionally refreshing.

Appearance. Pale straw to medium gold (SRM 3–5). Brilliant clarity with a frothy, persistent white head that leaves delicate lacing on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity of citrus-forward hops, specifically grapefruit, lemon, and lime zest. A very low, clean, grainy malt aroma provides a subtle bready background. The fermentation profile is clean with no significant esters or phenols.

Taste. Bright hop flavors of citrus and lemon dominate the initial impression. Low grainy malt sweetness is quickly overtaken by a firm, clean bitterness. The finish is very dry and crisp with a lingering citrusy and bitter aftertaste that persists without becoming harsh.

Mouthfeel. Light body with a smooth, crisp texture. Medium-high carbonation enhances the refreshing and effervescent quality. There is no alcohol warmth or astringency present.
