Appearance. Opaque, ink-like black (40 SRM). Pours with a dense, persistent tan head that leaves significant lacing on the glass.
Aroma. High roast intensity featuring prominent dark chocolate and espresso. Sweet notes of caramel and molasses are present, alongside moderate dark fruit esters resembling plum or raisin. A subtle, clean alcohol note is detectable, with a low earthy hop presence.
Taste. Initial flavors of bittersweet chocolate and deep caramel. The mid-palate introduces a slight coffee-like roastiness without harshness. Bitterness is firm and high, derived from both roasted grains and earthy hops. The finish is moderately dry and clean, leaving a lingering toasted malt aftertaste.
