This Double IPA presents an intense aromatic profile dominated by tropical fruit, citrus, and resinous pine. As a collaborative effort involving Beak, it leans into a modern sensory experience with a soft, supporting malt backbone and a clean fermentation profile. The 8% ABV provides a gentle, well-integrated warmth that carries layers of melon and stone fruit through to a crisp, dry finish. Expect a prominent bitterness that remains smooth and non-astringent, balancing the lean, neutral malt character. This expression of a Double IPA emphasizes high drinkability and hop saturation without the heavy, cloying sweetness often found in higher-gravity ales.

Appearance. Deep gold to light copper (8-10 SRM) with a moderate, persistent off-white head that leaves dense lacing. Displays a slight haze, consistent with modern brewing techniques, yet maintains a bright luminosity.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring notes of ripe mango, passion fruit, and bright tangerine. Background notes of floral citrus blossoms and a hint of resinous spruce. Malt is very low and neutral, offering a simple grainy cracker base, while fermentation is clean with subtle pear-like esters.

Taste. Initial punch of citrus zest and tropical stone fruit followed by a firm, moderately high bitterness. The malt flavor is soft and unobtrusive, providing a clean, bready platform. The balance is heavily tilted toward hops, finishing dry and crisp with a long, lingering aftertaste of grapefruit pith and resin.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, velvety texture. Carbonation is moderate-high, providing a lively prickle on the tongue. Alcohol warmth is noticeable but smooth and refined, lacking any harsh solvent-like qualities or astringency.
