This alcohol-free interpretation of an American IPA delivers a saturated hop experience, leaning heavily into the tropical and citrus realms typical of modern hazy styles. Citra and Mosaic provide a foundational ripeness of stone fruit and berries, while Idaho 7 adds depth with notes of apricot and subtle resin. The addition of Motueka introduces a vibrant, zesty top note reminiscent of a lemon and lime mojito. Despite its low gravity, the beer maintains a soft, hazy profile with a focus on juicy saturation rather than harsh bitterness, offering a refreshing, fruit-forward sensory journey that defies its sessionable strength.
Appearance. Medium gold with a significant, persistent white head. The appearance is distinctly hazy and opaque, characteristic of modern unfiltered hop-forward ales.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of lime zest, lemon, and ripe apricot. A supporting background of tropical stone fruit and light berry is present, with a very low, clean, grainy malt character and no perceptible alcohol.
Taste. Initial impression is a burst of juicy tropical fruit. High hop flavors of apricot and citrus dominate, specifically lime and lemon. The malt is low and clean, providing a light grainy base. Bitterness is moderate and smooth, leading to a medium-dry finish with a lingering, fruit-driven aftertaste.
