Beak Brewery’s Talk is a velvety Hazy IPA that highlights the tropical potential of the experimental HBC 586 hop. Saturated with high-intensity aromas of exotic guava and delicate lychee, it presents a lush, juicy profile supported by the citrus-forward brightness of Citra and the complex tangerine notes contributed by Talus. The malt backbone remains neutral and bready, allowing the hop-derived fruitiness to lead. Its soft, pillowy texture and restrained bitterness create an approachable, smooth drinking experience. This expression showcases modern dry-hopping techniques, resulting in a vibrant, opaque pour that focuses on depth of flavor and aromatic impact over sharp bitterness.

Appearance. Color is straw to light amber (SRM 3-5). Features a rocky, meringue-like white head with high retention and thick lacing. The beer is opaque with a characteristic hazy shine, lacking any sediment or visible yeast clumps.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by tropical guava, lychee, and citrus tangerine. Background malt is low, presenting as clean and grainy-sweet. Fermentation character is neutral to lightly estery, providing a supportive backdrop to the massive hop profile.

Taste. Initial impression is a burst of tropical and citrus fruit. Hop flavors of guava, lychee, and tangerine are prominent. Malt flavor is low and bready. Bitterness is low to medium-low, heavily masked by the soft body. The finish is off-dry and smooth with a lingering, juicy fruit aftertaste and no hop harshness.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a velvety-soft, pillowy texture. Carbonation is moderate. Alcohol warmth is light and well-integrated. The beer is smooth and creamy without being viscous or cloying, and it lacks any astringency.
