This Hazy IPA showcases a vibrant sensory profile driven by a massive dry-hop addition of Citra and HBC 630. It pours with a striking opaque glow, supported by a protein-rich malt bill and ultra-soft water that creates a pillowy, luxurious texture. The aroma is a concentrated burst of citrus and red berries, leading into a palate saturated with flavors of ripe cherry and pureed raspberry. Nostalgic notes of red and yellow travel sweets emerge, balanced by a soft, restrained bitterness. The finish is remarkably smooth and juice-like, emphasizing the complex fruit character of the Citra and HBC 630 hops over sharp hop bite.
Appearance. Pale gold (SRM 4-5) with a dense, opaque haze and a luminous shine. Supports a thick, meringue-like white head with high retention and beautiful lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring a complex blend of citrus and tropical fruit alongside distinct notes of red berries, cherry, and raspberry. Background malt is lightly bready and grainy, while fermentation esters are fruity and supportive without being buttery.
Taste. Massive hop-forward flavors of pureed raspberry and ripe cherry, transitioning into lemon-lime citrus and yellow fruit. A light bready malt sweetness provides a foundation for notes of red fruit travel sweets. Bitterness is moderate but perceived as soft and smooth, leading to an off-dry, fruit-saturated finish.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a notably soft, pillowy texture and creamy mouthfeel derived from the protein-rich grains and soft water. Carbonation is moderate; no harshness or hop burn is present.
