Beak Brewery Bello
This Hazy IPA presents a deeply saturated sensory profile inspired by classic New England examples. A sturdy, sweet base of Vienna malt and oats provides a soft, structural foundation for an aggressive hopping schedule. Saturated notes of pulpy orange and tropical pineapple dominate the palate, driven by the trio of Idaho-7, Bru-7, and Citra hops. The experience is underscored by a distinctively dank, resinous undertone that adds complexity to the bright fruit character. It finishes with a smooth, lingering fruitiness and a restrained bitterness, epitomizing the lush, hop-forward intent of the brewery.
Appearance. Deep gold to light orange (5-7 SRM) with a characteristic opaque, glowing haze. Topped by a dense, white, meringue-like head with excellent retention and lacing.
Aroma. High intensity aroma defined by a massive wave of tropical pineapple and ripe orange. A significant dank, resinous character emerges, supported by a light bready, grainy malt sweetness. Clean fermentation profile with subtle fruity esters.
Taste. High fruity hop flavors of orange juice and crushed pineapple saturate the palate. The malt adds a light, sweet bready depth. Bitterness is low to moderate and soft, never harsh. The finish is off-dry and fruit-laden with a lingering resinous, dank aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a remarkably smooth, soft texture. Moderate carbonation. A light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present. No astringency or harshness.
