Beachwood Brewing’s Hayabusa is an exceptionally clean and ultra-crisp International Pale Lager, crafted to mirror the refreshing snap of traditional Japanese-style lagers. A refined grain bill featuring American barley and Canadian pilsner malts provides a delicate bready foundation, while the addition of toasted flaked rice ensures a light, dry body and a lean finish. Subtle floral and spicy accents from German Hallertau Mittelfruh hops weave through the profile, offering a restrained bitterness that perfectly balances the soft malt sweetness. Highly carbonated and impeccably bright, this lager delivers a thirst-quenching experience defined by its precision, subtle complexity, and a snappy, clean aftertaste.

Appearance. Brilliantly clear, pale straw color with a bright white, frothy head that displays moderate retention and leaves light lacing on the glass.

Aroma. Low to medium-low aroma intensity featuring clean, grainy-malty notes and a hint of fresh bread. Delicate spicy and floral hop aromas from the Hallertau Mittelfruh are present but restrained. The fermentation profile is exceptionally clean with no detectable esters or diacetyl.

Taste. Initial impression is crisp and lean. Light grainy-malt flavors and a subtle crackery note from the toasted rice lead into a low floral and spicy hop flavor.
