Inside the Wire is a contemporary American Pale Ale that leans into modern preferences for a soft, approachable texture and vibrant tropical expression. The sensory profile is headlined by an intense, juicy mango character that defines both the aroma and initial palate. This primary fruit note is beautifully rounded out by refreshing undertones of zesty citrus and sharp pineapple. Despite its hazy appearance and pillowy mouthfeel, the beer remains exceptionally balanced, utilizing a neutral, grainy malt backbone to support the hops without adding competing sweetness. It concludes with a clean, moderate bitterness and a dry finish, making it a highly drinkable, fruit-forward companion for savory dishes.
Appearance. Pale golden color with a pronounced haze. Topped by a moderately large, white, frothy head with good retention and delicate lacing.
Aroma. High intensity of tropical fruit esters and hop-derived aromatics, specifically ripe mango and fresh pineapple. Subtle notes of lemon and grapefruit zest provide a citrus lift, supported by a very low, neutral, crackery malt aroma.
Taste. The initial impression is dominated by lush mango and pineapple flavors. The mid-palate introduces light citrus notes and a clean, neutral malt profile. Bitterness is moderate, providing enough structure to balance the fruitiness without being harsh. The finish is medium-dry and clean, with a lingering tropical aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a soft, creamy, and pillowy texture typical of hazy styles. Carbonation is moderate and fine. Very smooth with no perceptible alcohol warmth or astringency.
