This Triple IPA version of a Double IPA delivers an intense sensory assault driven by a massive dry-hop profile. Citra and Mosaic provide a lush foundation of bright grapefruit, tangerine, and dark berries, while Bru-1 elevates the experience with pungent notes of freshly cut pineapple and stone fruit. At 10.5% ABV, a smooth yet undeniable alcohol warmth supports the concentrated hop oils. The malt presence remains lean and unobtrusive, ensuring a dry finish that emphasizes aggressive bitterness. It is a powerful example of the style that leans into modern, fruit-forward tropical saturation without losing its clean, bitter edge.
Appearance. Deep gold to light orange-copper in color. Features a moderate-sized, persistent, off-white head with excellent lacing. While generally clear, a slight, modern hop haze is present due to the heavy dry-hop additions.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by tropical fruit, specifically pineapple from Bru-1, citrus grapefruit from Citra, and complex berry and melon notes from Mosaic. Background malt is clean and neutral, with a smooth, noticeable ethanol presence that is not solventy.
Taste. Initial impression is a concentrated blast of tropical fruit and citrus oils. High hop bitterness is firm and aggressive but lacks harshness, supported by a low, clean, bready malt character. Finishes dry with a lingering resinous and fruity aftertaste. Hop flavors of pineapple, tangerine, and resin are prominent.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a smooth, slightly oily texture. Carbonation is moderate. A noticeable and well-integrated alcohol warmth reflects the high strength without becoming hot or astringent.
