Baxbier’s Bandwagon 422 is a vibrant Double IPA that delivers a concentrated burst of tropical and resinous hop character. Utilizing a complex blend of Centennial Incognito, Citra Cryo, Zamba, Sultana, and Solero, the profile is dominated by pungent layers of ripe pineapple, succulent mango, and bright citrus zest. A sharp background of pine provides a classic resinous counterpoint. The heavy addition of wheat and oats creates a luxurious, silky mouthfeel that softens the firm, pleasant bitterness. It finishes clean and dry, balancing its significant strength with remarkable drinkability and intense hop saturation.

Appearance. Bright yellow color (SRM 4-6) with a moderate, persistent white head and good lacing. While traditionally clear, the heavy use of wheat and oats provides a modern, slight haze.

Aroma. Intense hop aroma with high notes of pineapple, mango, and citrus zest. A distinct resinous, piney character is present in the background. Fermentation is clean, with very low neutral malt and a subtle, smooth alcohol presence.

Taste. Strong and complex hop flavors of tropical fruit and citrus dominate the palate. Moderately high bitterness is firm but pleasant, never becoming harsh. Malt flavor is low and neutral, serving as a soft platform for the hops. The finish is medium-dry with a lingering hoppy aftertaste of pine and citrus.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a notably silky and smooth texture from the wheat and oats. Moderate carbonation. A light, refined alcohol warmth is noticeable but well-integrated.
