Bavaria 8.6 IPL presents a bold, high-gravity transformation of the classic German Pils, amplifying the traditional lager structure into a predatory "India Pale Lager" experience. It strikes a sensory balance between a softly sweet, grainy malt foundation and an aggressive, freshly bitter hop intensity. The clean fermentation profile expected of the style is preserved but pushed to a 7% ABV intensity, where floral and herbal hop cues fight for dominance against a robust, cracker-like malt base. This "werewolf" of a beer delivers a crisp, clean finish typical of a lager, but with the punch and lingering bitterness of a firm IPA.
Appearance. Deep gold to amber-tinted yellow (4–6 SRM). Brilliant clarity with a dense, creamy white head that shows excellent retention and significant lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent floral, spicy, and herbal notes. Supported by a moderate, bready, and sweet grainy malt presence with hints of toasted cracker and light honey. Clean fermentation profile with no yeast-derived esters.
