Batel White IPA
Batel White IPA presents an assertive fusion of a Belgian-style Witbier and a bold American IPA. Appearance. SRM 5-8. Pale straw to deep gold. Large, white, persistent head with excellent lacing. Typically hazy to opaque due to the high wheat content and dry-hopping.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring grapefruit, orange, and tropical fruit. Moderate esters of banana and citrus are balanced by light phenolic spiciness (clove). Low bready, cracker-like malt character from the wheat. Clean fermentation profile.
Taste. Initial impression is hop-forward and crisp. High hop bitterness is supported by a medium-low bready wheat malt flavor. Significant hop flavors of citrus and stone fruit dominate the mid-palate, followed by light spicy phenols and fruity esters. The finish is dry and crisp with a lingering, clean hop bitterness and a slight wheat tang.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light to medium body. Medium-high to high carbonation provides a refreshing spritz. Light creaminess from the wheat and light, well-integrated alcohol warmth. Very low astringency.
