This potent Double IPA, a collaboration with Basqueland Brewing, showcases an intense hop saturation driven by a blend of Simcoe, Chinook, Citra, and Mosaic. The sensory experience is led by aggressive resinous pine and grapefruit zest from the Chinook and Simcoe, which seamlessly transition into lush layers of mango, blueberry, and passionfruit provided by the Mosaic and Citra. Despite its 8% ABV, the beer maintains a lean, clean malt profile that provides a structural backbone without adding heaviness. It finishes exceptionally dry and crisp, allowing the firm bitterness to linger alongside a sophisticated, well-integrated alcohol warmth that enhances its bold character.

Appearance. Gold to light orange-copper (6–12 SRM). The beer shows good clarity with a slight modern haze. It supports a moderate-sized, persistent, off-white head with excellent lacing.

Aroma. High-intensity hop aroma featuring dominant notes of resinous pine, grapefruit, and tropical fruit (mango, passionfruit). A supportive, clean, neutral maltiness sits in the background, complemented by a light fruity fermentation profile and a hint of smooth alcohol.

Taste. Initial impression is a wave of complex hop flavors—piney, citrusy, and tropical. High bitterness is present but remains smooth and lacks harshness. A low, clean, soft malt character provides balance, leading to a dry finish with a lingering, clean hoppy aftertaste. Very low fruit esters are present, overshadowed by the hop-derived notes.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, velvety texture. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a lively prickle on the tongue. There is a noticeable but restrained and smooth alcohol warmth without any harsh hop-derived astringency.
