Basqueland Brewing

Basqueland Triple Crown is a monumental Double IPA that pushes the boundaries of hop saturation and intensity. Exploiting a 10% ABV backbone, it delivers a massive sensory impact driven by a heavy dry-hop of Bru-1, El Dorado, and Cryo Pop®. The result is an explosive bouquet of grilled pineapple and sweet stone fruit underscored by the concentrated tropical punch of the Cryo Pop® blend. Despite its formidable strength, the beer maintains the stylistic hallmark of a clean, neutral malt profile that allows the hops to shine. It finishes with a firm, resinous bitterness and a sophisticated, well-integrated alcohol warmth.

Appearance. Deep gold to light orange-copper color with a slight, modern haze. Features a moderate-sized, persistent, off-white head that leaves consistent lacing on the glass.

Aroma. Intense and punchy aroma dominated by tropical fruits. Bru-1 contributes distinct notes of fresh pineapple, while El Dorado provides sweet melon and stone fruit characteristics. The Cryo Pop® blend adds a multi-layered citrus and tropical fruit punch effect. Very low, clean, bready malt is present in the background with a faint, smooth alcohol presence.

Taste. Initial impression is a blast of tropical fruit—pineapple, mango, and candy-like stone fruit—transitioning into a moderately high hop bitterness. A clean, soft, and unobtrusive malt character supports the high ABV without adding cloying sweetness. The finish is medium-dry, featuring a lingering hoppy resin and a clean, warming alcohol sensation.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a smooth, creamy texture. Carbonation is moderate to medium-high. Provides a noticeable but refined alcohol warmth that is well-integrated and lacks any harsh or solventy edges.

Basqueland – Triple Crown. El proyecto Basqueland lo fundan 3 norteamericanos que desembarcaron en el País Vasco en tres oleadas. El primero en pisar tierras guipuzcoanas fue Kevin Patricio. Originario de Baltimore, después le siguió su amigo Benjamín Matz, maestro cervecero de una de las cunas del Craft Beer en EEUU , San Diego. El último de la tresena lo compone Benjamin Rozzi, se incorpora a instancias de Benjamín y Kevin para hacerse cargo de la parte comercial del proyecto. A partir de aquí los tres estrenaron fábrica propia en Hernani en el 2015.
