This vibrant Session American IPA presents a modern tropical bouquet driven by a potent trio of hops. Citra T90 provides bright layers of grapefruit and lime zest, while Mosaic Cryo intensifies the profile with deep notes of blueberry and tropical stone fruit. The addition of Sabro introduces a distinctive creamy coconut and pineapple undertone, which is beautifully enhanced by the inclusion of lactose. This addition lends a silky, rounded texture that balances the refreshing 4.9% ABV. The result is a highly drinkable, hop-forward ale with a soft, lush mouthfeel and a clean, fruity finish that highlights contemporary hop science.
Appearance. Pale gold (4-6 SRM) with a slight, persistent haze. Features a medium-sized, bright white head with good retention and delicate lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent grapefruit, mango, and blueberry notes, underpinned by a distinct coconut and cedar-like quality. Low, clean, grainy-sweet malt is present, with a faint milky sweetness from the lactose. Clean fermentation profile.
Taste. Initial impression is hop-dominant with flavors of tropical fruit, citrus zest, and sweet coconut. Malt flavor is low, providing a neutral grainy base. Medium-high hop bitterness is softened and rounded by the lactose, leading to a balanced-sweet impression. The finish is medium-dry with a lingering tropical and berry aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a noticeably smooth, creamy texture due to the lactose addition. Moderate carbonation. No alcohol warmth or astringency, providing a refreshing and soft palate experience.
