Basqueland Brewing

This Munich Helles is a refined tribute to Southern German traditions, pouring a brilliant straw yellow. It features a foundation of classic malts that evoke a delicate sweetness reminiscent of sunflower seeds, providing a soft, rounded palate. The use of noble Tettnanger hops introduces elegant floral aromatics and a subtle bitterness akin to fresh-cut grass. Clean and exceptionally balanced, the profile emphasizes a grainy-sweet malt character without becoming cloying. It finishes dry and refreshing, capturing the essence of a daily drinker with a sophisticated hop touch that complements the smooth, well-lagered structure typical of the style.

Appearance. Straw yellow (3 SRM). Brilliant clarity with a persistent, creamy white head and moderate lacing.

Aroma. Moderate intensity with a dominant grainy-sweet malt profile. Low to moderate floral and herbal hop notes from the Tettnanger variety. Clean fermentation with no esters or diacetyl.

Taste. Moderately malty start with a grainy-sweet flavor and a soft, rounded palate. Low to medium-low bitterness (~18 IBU) provides gentle balance. Subtle floral and fresh grass hop flavors. Malt-forward but finishes soft and dry without residual cloying sweetness.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Smooth, well-lagered character with no perceived alcohol warmth and no astringency.
