Basqueland Brewing

Notorious presents a vibrant, juice-forward profile inspired by the East Coast scene. The heavy dry-hopping with Citra and Citra Cryo delivers an explosion of zesty grapefruit and sweet lime, while the addition of Vic Secret contributes distinct layers of tropical pineapple and a hint of clean pine. A backdrop of soft, bready malt supports the intense fruit character without adding distracting sweetness or toast. This Hazy IPA offers a plush, pillowy texture and a gentle bitterness that allows the vibrant hop oils to shine through a clean, ester-positive fermentation, resulting in a balanced and highly drinkable tribute to the style.

Appearance. Deep straw to glowing orange-yellow (5-6 SRM); opaque, uniform haze with a luminous quality. Thick, rocky, meringue-like white head with excellent retention and persistent lacing.

Aroma. High intensity. Dominant tropical fruit notes of fresh pineapple and passionfruit alongside bright tangerine, lime zest, and grapefruit. Subtle background of doughy, bready malt. Clean fermentation with soft pear-like esters that complement the hop profile. No herbal or grassy notes.

Taste. Initial wave of tropical fruit punch, featuring pineapple, mango, and sweet citrus oils. Low to moderate bready malt flavor provides a soft foundation. Perceived bitterness is restrained and smooth, never harsh, allowing for a juice-like impression. The finish is off-dry and clean, with a lingering tropical citrus aftertaste. Balanced toward hops, yet exceptionally smooth.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, pillowy, and smooth texture. Medium carbonation. Very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth. Devoid of any hop burn, astringency, or harshness.
