Basqueland Brewing

Basqueland Nanook presents as a Northern IPA, a hybrid concept that marries the intense aromatic depth of modern hazy ales with the crystalline precision of the West Coast. Utilizing the innovative Lalbrew Aurora™ yeast fermented at a cool 15°C, it offers a clean, expressive profile that serves as a canvas for Mosaic hops. This brilliant golden ale explodes with sensory cues of ripe red berries, juicy stone fruit, and vibrant tropical mango. While it carries the fruit-forward soul of a NEIPA, its structure is defined by a refreshing, dry finish and firm bitterness, emphasizing superb drinkability and a crisp, clean hop-forward elegance.

Appearance. Medium gold with brilliant clarity. Pours with a medium-sized, persistent white head that leaves delicate lacing on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by Mosaic-driven notes of blueberry, raspberry, and white peach. Supporting layers of mango and passion fruit are present. Malt character is low and clean, offering a faint grainy sweetness. The fermentation profile is exceptionally clean with a subtle, unique floral expressiveness.

Taste. Vibrant hop flavors of tropical fruit and red berries lead the palate. The malt is low and crackery, providing a lean backbone that allows the hops to shine. Bitterness is firm and clean, well-integrated into the dry finish. The aftertaste is hoppy and refreshing, with lingering notes of berry and citrus.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, crisp texture. Carbonation is medium-high, contributing to a refreshing and lively mouthfeel. No perceptible alcohol warmth or astringency.
