Bright aromas of stonefruit and tropical fruit lead the charge, driven by the use of Rakau, while Nelson Sauvin hops introduce complex layers of white grape and red currant. Despite its sessionable alcohol content, the beer presents a surprisingly full body reminiscent of a modern Hazy IPA, balancing a soft, grainy malt backbone with a distinctive dank finish. It is highly drinkable, offering a hop-forward character that remains the focus, finishing with a clean, moderate bitterness and lingering fruit notes.
Appearance. Medium gold (6 SRM); hazy to opaque appearance with a medium-sized, persistent off-white head that leaves moderate lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of crushed white grape, passion fruit, and ripe stone fruit. A resinous, dank undertone is present, supported by a low, clean, grainy maltiness. Clean fermentation profile with no diacetyl.
Taste. Medium-high hop flavor mirrors the aroma with layers of tropical fruit, gooseberry, and stone fruit. Low grainy-sweet malt flavor provides a supportive base. Bitterness is moderate to firm but smooth, leading to a medium-dry finish. The aftertaste is hoppy and clean with a lingering dank resin quality.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body, offering a smooth and slightly creamy texture atypical for its strength. Moderate carbonation with no alcoholic warmth or harsh astringency.
