Basqueland’s Juicy Smooth is a vibrant Wild Specialty Beer that showcases a sharp, clean lactic acidity derived from Lactobacillus helveticus. The grain bill, featuring Extra Pale malt alongside significant portions of oats and wheat, creates a silky, medium-bodied canvas for a massive fruit addition. Intense aromas of ripe strawberry and tropical mango dominate the profile, melding seamlessly with the tart fermentation character. On the palate, the fruit provides a lush, juicy impression that balances the punchy sourness. It finishes crisp and refreshing, with the jammy strawberry sweetness lingering against a backdrop of soft bready wheat notes and a smooth, rounded texture.

Appearance. SRM 5-8; deep gold to sunset orange with a distinct pinkish-red hue from the fruit. Hazy to opaque with a dense, pinkish-white head that shows moderate retention and fine lacing.

Aroma. High intensity of fresh strawberry and tropical mango. Sharp, clean lactic sourness without funk. Subtle bready and grainy malt notes from the Extra Pale malt and wheat background. No hop aroma or esters.

Taste. Initial impression is a sharp, punchy lactic acidity. Dominant flavors of ripe, jammy strawberry and sweet mango flesh. Low bitterness with a soft, bready malt character from the oats and wheat. The finish is tart and dry, with a lingering fruit-skin aftertaste and clean fermentation character.
