Basqueland Jeepney is a vibrant Wild Specialty Beer that captures the tropical essence of the Philippines through a lush infusion of fruit. This fruited sour centers on the interplay between the velvety, pulpy sweetness of ripe mango and the piercing, lime-like acidity of calamansi. The sensory profile is defined by a bright, lactic tang that underscores the fruit's natural zest, while a subtle, wild fermentation character adds aromatic depth without overshadowing the adjuncts. With a crisp, refreshing finish and high carbonation, it offers a multi-layered citrus experience, blending the floral, sharp bite of calamansi with the rounded, stone-fruit richness of mango.

Appearance. Deep golden to pale orange in color (SRM 5-7), typically featuring a persistent haze from the fruit addition. The head is white, moderate in height, with fair to poor retention characteristic of acidic fruit beers.

Aroma. High intensity aromatics of fresh, fleshy mango and sharp, zesty calamansi. The citrus notes are reminiscent of lime and tangerine with a floral edge. A clean, lactic sourness is present, accompanied by very low bready malt and no detectable hop character.

Taste. Initial impression is a sharp, refreshing tartness driven by both the calamansi and fermentation. Flavors of tropical mango emerge mid-palate, providing a perception of sweetness that balances the acidic bite. The finish is very dry and crisp with a lingering citrus zest aftertaste. Hop bitterness is negligible, and malt flavor is a minimal, clean cracker-like backdrop.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a slightly puckering quality from the acidity. Carbonation is high, creating a lively and effervescent sensation. Very low alcohol warmth is present, and there is a slight, pleasant astringency from the citrus skins.
