In Suspension is a bold Double IPA that showcases a sophisticated interplay of modern hop varieties. Tropical notes of pineapple and ripe stone fruit driven by El Dorado lead the sensory profile, closely followed by the resinous pine and passionfruit complexity of Simcoe. Cashmere rounds out the experience with a smooth layer of lemon zest and melon. Despite its 8% strength, the beer maintains high drinkability through a lean malt backbone and a clean fermentation profile. It finishes crisp and dry, leaving a lingering, firm bitterness and a touch of well-integrated warmth that underscores its West Coast-inspired roots.

Appearance. Deep gold to light orange-copper (SRM 7-9). Topped with a moderate-sized, persistent, off-white head that leaves consistent lacing. Clarity is clear to slightly hazy, which is typical for modern dry-hopped versions.

Aroma. Intense hop aroma dominated by tropical pineapple, mango, and pear from the El Dorado, layered with resinous pine and grapefruit notes from Simcoe. Subtle melon and lime zest from Cashmere add complexity. The malt is a supportive, clean, neutral graininess in the background with a very low, clean alcohol presence.

Taste. Initial impression is an explosion of tropical and stone fruit hop flavors followed by an assertive, resinous bitterness. The El Dorado provides a sweet-fruit impression, while Simcoe delivers piney and citrus flavors. High bitterness (approximately 70-80 IBU) is firm but smooth. The malt character is low, clean, and soft, allowing for a medium-dry, crisp finish with a long-lingering hoppy aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, almost creamy texture from the hop oils. Carbonation is medium-high. A light, pleasant alcohol warmth is present but not solventy, and there is no harsh hop-derived astringency.
