Basqueland Brewing

This Hazy IPA captures an eternal summer through an expressive blend of Citra, Rakau, and Wakatu hops. It pours a pale, hazy veil with a luminous shine. The aroma is an intense tropical bouquet where the lime zest and clementine notes of Citra intermingle with the lush white peach and passion fruit characters of the New Zealand varieties. On the palate, a soft malt backbone supports a wave of stone fruit and bright citrus, finishing with a delicate, rounded sweetness. The bitterness remains restrained and smooth, ensuring a highly drinkable, juice-like experience that emphasizes hop saturation over harshness.

Appearance. Straw to pale gold (4 SRM). Opaque, hazy clarity with a brilliant shine. Pours with a dense, meringue-like white head exhibiting high retention and thick lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by tropical and citrus notes. Prominent passion fruit and white peach are accented by sharp lime zest and sweet clementine. Background malt is low, offering a neutral, lightly bready character. No DMS or diacetyl.

Taste. Initial impression is a burst of tropical juice. High fruit flavor echoing the aroma: juicy peach, lime, and citrus zest. Malt flavor is low, providing a soft, grainy support. Bitterness is low-medium, well-integrated and never harsh. Finish is off-dry and smooth with a lingering citrus aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a characteristically soft, plush texture. Carbonation is moderate. No alcohol warmth is perceived at this ABV. Free from astringency or raw grain harshness.
