Fermented with Nova Lager yeast for a neutral, pristine backdrop, it showcases a vibrant southern hemisphere hop profile. The use of Motuere hops delivers an intense bouquet of ripe mango, passion fruit, and pineapple, while Rakau adds layers of stone fruit sweetness akin to apricot. Motueka provides a sharp, refreshing citrus finish characterized by lime and lemon sparks. It presents a lean malt structure that allows the nuanced New Zealand hop character to take center stage, resulting in a bright, modern, and highly drinkable experience.
Appearance. Pale gold (5-6 SRM). Brilliant clarity with a moderate, frothy white head that exhibits good persistence and light lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent pineapple, mango, and passion fruit. Distinct citrus notes of lime zest and a subtle apricot stone fruit character. Malt is very low, clean, and grainy. Fermentation is exceptionally clean with no detectable esters.
Taste. Initial impression is a burst of tropical fruit including pineapple and mango. High hop bitterness is firm but clean, supported by a low, cracker-like malt presence. Flavors of lime and lemon sparks from the New Zealand hops emerge mid-palate. The finish is very dry and crisp with a lingering, resinous fruit aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, lean texture. High carbonation provides a refreshing, crisp snap on the tongue. No harshness or astringency; very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth.
