This American IPA, crafted as a Cold IPA, offers a brilliantly crisp sensory experience driven by lager yeast and a lean malt bill including corn flakes. The aroma is high-intensity and vibrant, bursting with lemon candy and grapefruit zest, complemented by a delicate, floral chamomile note. On the palate, the beer is exceptionally clean and refreshing, allowing the citrusy hop flavors to take center stage against a light, cracker-like barley malt backbone. It concludes with a firm, satisfying bitterness and a bone-dry finish, epitomizing the highly drinkable, hop-forward nature of the modern style.
Appearance. Pale gold (approx 4-6 SRM); brilliant clarity; medium-sized, bright white head with excellent persistence and fine lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent grapefruit zest and lemon candy, with a subtle floral chamomile undertone. Malt is low and grainy-sweet; fermentation is exceptionally clean with no detectable yeast esters or phenols.
Taste. Initial impression is crisp and hop-forward; medium-high flavors of citrus peel and herbal flowers. Malt flavor is low, providing a neutral, cracker-like base with a very subtle sweetness from the adjunct corn. Bitterness is firm and clean, leading to a very dry, crisp finish with a lingering citrus aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a snappy, crisp texture; medium-high carbonation; very smooth with no astringency and minimal alcohol warmth.
