Chocotástico is a decadent Imperial Stout designed as a high-intensity liquid dessert. It features a complex grist of eight malts, including specific chocolate and roasted varieties, which provide a deep, coffee-like foundation. The sensory profile is dominated by layers of cocoa powder and chocolate nibs, creating an immersive fudge and dark chocolate experience. Lactose and caramel lend a plush, creamy sweetness, while a subtle touch of salt sharpens the flavors on the palate. Expect a lush, full-bodied mouthfeel that transitions into a long, warm, and sugary finish, showcasing a masterfully integrated 9.8% ABV.

Appearance. Jet black and completely opaque (40+ SRM). It pours with a thick, dense, dark tan head that exhibits moderate retention and leaves significant oily legs on the glass due to high viscosity.

Aroma. Intensely aromatic with powerful, high-intensity notes of dark chocolate, cocoa, and fudge. Underlying scents of toasted malts, caramel, and a hint of vanilla are present, alongside very low dark fruit esters such as plum. A clean, smooth alcohol warmth supports the rich bouquet.

Taste. The initial impression is one of intense, dessert-like sweetness driven by lactose and caramel. Dominant flavors of bittersweet chocolate and roasted coffee arise from the eight-malt base and added nibs. Perceived bitterness is low to moderate, providing just enough balance against the heavy malt sugars to prevent it from being cloying. The finish is lingering, decadent, and sweet, with a distinct salinity that makes the chocolate notes pop.

Mouthfeel. Full to very full-bodied and chewy with a velvety, viscous, and luscious texture. Carbonation is low to moderate, enhancing the creaminess. A noticeable, smooth alcohol warmth provides a comforting glow without any harshness or astringency.
