This decadent Imperial Stout pours like liquid velvet, offering an intense sensory journey into the realm of pastry-inspired indulgence. The foundation, built upon Extra Pale malts, chocolate malts, and caramelized malts, establishes a rich, biscuit-like base reminiscent of fresh-baked cookies. Infusions of cocoa powder and additional chocolate create a multi-layered cacao experience, ranging from bittersweet to creamy milk chocolate. Toasted hazelnut provides a distinct, nutty aroma and oily richness that complements the high alcohol content. The result is a dense, flavorful masterpiece that balances the roasted depth of a traditional stout with the sweet, nostalgic comforts of a gourmet dessert.

Appearance. Jet black and completely opaque (SRM 40+). It produces a thick, deep tan head with moderate retention and significant viscosity, often leaving oily legs on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity aromas of bittersweet chocolate and heavy cocoa dominate, followed by a pronounced toasted hazelnut character. Subtle notes of dark fruit like raisins and plums are present, supported by a sweet, cookie-like maltiness. Alcohol is noticeable but clean and well-integrated.

Taste. The initial impression is intensely sweet and decadent. Strong flavors of milk chocolate, praline, and roasted hazelnuts lead the profile, supported by a malt base of caramel and toasted bread. Hop bitterness is low to moderate but largely masked by the high residual sugar. The finish is long and sweet with lingering notes of cocoa and nut butter.

Mouthfeel. Very full-bodied, viscous, and chewy with a velvety, luscious texture. Carbonation is low to moderate. A smooth, gentle alcohol warmth is present, consistent with its high strength, accompanied by a slight creaminess.
