Basqueland Amazonica is a Hazy IPA that utilizes a specialized cold dry-hopping technique to deliver a refined and intense sensory profile. By adding Citra T90 and Simcoe Cryo hops at lower temperatures, the brewery achieves elegant aromas of white fruit, peach, and bright citrus. The beer presents a pale, hazy appearance that suggests a dense, lush texture. On the palate, the soft and smooth mouthfeel carries layers of tropical fruit and stone fruit flavors, supported by a neutral, bready malt backbone. It finishes with a clean, juicy persistence and a restrained, well-integrated bitterness typical of the style.
Appearance. Straw to light gold (3–6 SRM). Opaque and hazy with a characteristic shine. Features a rocky, meringue-like white head with high retention and delicate lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring white peach, grapefruit, and passion fruit from the Citra and Simcoe hops. Background malt is clean, lightly bready, and grainy. Neutral fermentation profile with no diacetyl or harsh sulfur.
Taste. High fruity hop flavor mirroring the aroma with notes of white grape, melon, and citrus. Low to medium-low bready malt support. Perceived bitterness is moderate but masked by a soft, off-dry finish. The aftertaste is clean and fruit-forward without any hop harshness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a smooth, soft texture. Carbonation is moderate. Features a light, well-integrated alcohol warmth and is devoid of any astringency or raw starch texture.
