Basqueland + Verdant – My Eyes But Not The Beer. El proyecto Basqueland lo fundan 3 norteamericanos que desembarcaron en el País Vasco en tres oleadas. El primero en pisar tierras guipuzcoanas fue Kevin Patricio. Originario de Baltimore, después le siguió su amigo Benjamín Matz, maestro cervecero de una de las cunas del Craft Beer en EEUU , San Diego. El último de la tresena lo compone Benjamin Rozzi, se incorpora a instancias de Benjamín y Kevin para hacerse cargo de la parte comercial del proyecto. A partir de aquí los tres estrenaron fábrica propia en Hernani en el 2015.

Lo mejorcito de la península se da la mano con la élite británica. Basqueland y Verdant experimentan con un mismo combo de lúpulos (Citra, Rakau y Nelson Sauvin) para darnos 2 cervezas muy diferentes.

(Take) My Eyes but Not the Beer es una DIPA de 8%, mucho más compleja que su hermana pequeña. La malta y el grado son una sólida estructura para que los lúpulos brillen.
