This vibrant collaboration reimagines the classic Berliner Weisse as a summer refresher, integrating ripe strawberries and a subtle prickle of black pepper. The sensory profile is defined by a sharp, clean lactic acidity that elevates the natural tartness of the berries. A backbone of bready wheat malt provides a soft, doughy foundation, while the addition of black pepper adds a sophisticated, dry spice to the finish. Effervescent and bone-dry, it delivers a crisp, palate-cleansing experience where the fruity character of the berries is balanced by the beer’s signature sourness and a lingering, peppery snap.

Appearance. Pale straw with a distinct pinkish-ruby hue from the fruit infusion. Hazy to somewhat opaque. Large, effervescent white-to-pink head with rapid dissipation and minimal lacing.

Aroma. High intensity lactic sourness with a sharp, lemon-like edge. Dominant fresh strawberry notes are accompanied by a subtle, woody spice from black pepper. A light background of raw bread dough and sourdough wheat is present, with no hop aroma.

Taste. Clean, intense lactic acidity takes center stage, immediately followed by tart strawberry flavors. The wheat malt provides a soft, grainy, and bready mid-palate. Hop bitterness is undetectable, as the acidity and black pepper provide the balance. Finishes very dry and crisp with a lingering peppery tingle and tart berry skins.

Mouthfeel. Light body with a refreshing, crisp acidity. Very high carbonation creates a lively, spritzy mouthfeel. No alcohol warmth is perceived; extremely drinkable.
