This collaboration between Basqueland and Other Half presents an intensely aromatic Double IPA defined by a saturated hop profile. Using a combination of Mosaic and Citra in both T90 and Cryo formats, the beer radiates layers of ripe mango, passion fruit, and bright grapefruit juice. The addition of Ella and Azacca hops introduces nuanced notes of star anise, spicy floral tones, and crushed pineapple. While the 8.5% ABV provides a structural warmth, the malt remains lean and supportive, allowing a firm bitterness to lead into a dry, resinous finish. It is a modern, punchy expression of the style with exceptional hop clarity.

Appearance. Deep gold to light orange-copper in color (approx. 7-9 SRM). It features a moderate-sized, persistent off-white head with excellent lacing and a slight, modern haze that remains within acceptable limits for the style.

Aroma. An intense, multifaceted hop bouquet dominates. Prominent tropical notes of papaya and guava from Azacca and Mosaic mingle with sharp lime and tangerine zest from Citra. Subtle spicy and floral undertones from Ella provide complexity against a low, neutral, grainy malt background and clean fermentation profile.

Taste. The initial impression is a burst of tropical fruit and citrus oils. Mosaic contributes distinct blueberry and stone fruit flavors, while Citra adds a pithy grapefruit bite. The bitterness is high but well-sculpted and not harsh. A lean, soft malt backbone supports the strength without caramel interference, finishing very dry with a lingering resinous aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a remarkably smooth, soft texture. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a crisp lift to the palate. There is a restrained, pleasant alcohol warmth that underscores its potency without being solventy.
