This American Stout presents a bold, roasty core enriched by a distinctively tropical complexity. Rich layers of dark chocolate and cocoa merge with the deep, sun-dried sweetness of Moscatel raisins. The aroma is high in intensity, featuring a sophisticated interplay of vanilla and cinnamon that masks the underlying roasted coffee notes. While the initial palate offers a deceptively dry impression, it quickly expands into a creamy, medium-full experience. Firm bitterness and subtle resinous hop notes balance the adjunct-driven sweetness, finishing with a lingering warmth and a touch of spiced fruitiness that defines its unique character.
Appearance. Jet black (SRM 35-40) and opaque. Large, persistent light brown head with excellent retention and lacing.
Aroma. High intensity of roasted coffee and dark chocolate. Prominent notes of vanilla and cinnamon spice are layered over the dark fruit esters of Moscatel raisins. Low resinous and citrusy American hop character.
Taste. Initial impression is dry but quickly transitions to a complex malt profile of dark cocoa and bittersweet chocolate.
