This vibrant Red IPA showcases a striking deep garnet hue derived from the exclusive use of Red X malt. The nose is an explosion of New World hop complexity, where Nectaron provides lush stone fruit and peach notes, Galaxy adds pungent passionfruit and citrus, and HBC 630 introduces unique hints of raspberry and cherry candy. On the palate, a firm bitterness cuts through the toasty, slightly bready malt base, leading to a punchy, hop-forward finish. This modern interpretation balances the robust toasted character of its malt bill with a tropical and berry-laden aromatic profile, delivering a clean yet intense sensory experience.
Appearance. Deep red to copper with brilliant garnet highlights (14–18 SRM). Clear with a persistent, off-white to light tan head and fine lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring Nectaron’s peach and nectarine, Galaxy’s passionfruit, and HBC 630’s distinct red berry and creamy fruit character. Moderate malt presence with toasted bread, light caramel, and subtle biscuit notes. Clean fermentation profile.
Taste. Initial punch of tropical fruit and stone fruit flavors followed by a firm, resinous bitterness. Red X malt provides a medium-low toasted grain and sweet bread flavor without roast or ash. Finishes dry to off-dry with lingering berry and citrus hop notes. Bitterness is assertive but well-integrated against the malt backbone.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, slightly creamy texture. Moderate carbonation. A soft, welcoming alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated. No significant astringency.
