RED LINES is a bold Red IPA that strikes a potent balance between a robust, chewy malt foundation and a pungent hop profile. A deep caramel and toffee malt backbone supports an aggressive display of resin and pine driven by Simcoe. These forest-like notes are layered with the vibrant tropical passionfruit of Vic Secret and the classic citrus punch of Centennial and Citra. At 7% ABV, it offers a sturdy presence where the sweetness of the specialty malts is sliced through by a firm, lingering bitterness, resulting in a complex, hop-forward experience that remains deeply flavorful and structured.
Appearance. Deep amber to dark copper with ruby highlights (14–22 SRM). Clear with a thick, persistent off-white to light tan head that leaves dense lacing.
Aroma. High hop intensity featuring prominent pine resin and grapefruit zest. Significant tropical fruit notes of passionfruit and pineapple emerge as it warms. Beneath the hops lies a moderate, sweet malt character suggestive of toasted bread, caramel, and light toffee.
Taste. Initial impression of rich, sweet caramel and toasted biscuit quickly gives way to a dominant hop bitterness. Flavors of resinous pine, citrus peel, and tropical stone fruit are pervasive. The bitterness is firm but well-supported by the malt backbone. Finishes medium-dry with a lingering resinous aftertaste and a touch of specialty grain toastiness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a notable chewy texture. Medium carbonation provides a smooth scrub on the palate. A light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present, reflecting the strength.
