Baladin Nora is a complex Spice, Herb, or Vegetable Beer crafted with ancient Kamut grain, offering a rich, sensory journey to the East. It pours a warm orange-amber with a voluminous head. The aromatic profile is dominated by exotic myrrh and zingy ginger, underscored by subtle citrus and cinnamon. Appearance. Warm orange-amber hue (12-15 SRM). Tall, voluminous, and persistent off-white head with excellent lacing. Slight haze typical of unfiltered wheat-based ales.
Aroma. Moderate to high intensity. Complex oriental notes of myrrh and ginger lead the bouquet, followed by soft citrus peel and a dusting of cinnamon. The Kamut grain contributes a distinct bready, cracker-like maltiness. Low hop aroma. Clean fermentation profile with very low spicy phenols.
Taste. Initial impression is one of honeyed sweetness and rich malt. Prominent flavors of ginger, clove, and cinnamon are well-integrated. The Kamut grain adds a biscuit and nutty depth. Bitterness is low, allowing the white pepper and spice-derived heat to provide balance. The finish is long, sweet-spiced, and balanced, without being cloying.
