Bad Seed Brewing Tropadelic is a vibrant Berliner Weisse that elevates the traditional tart profile with an expressive infusion of Mango, Guava, and Passionfruit. On the nose, a sharp lactic acidity intertwines with an explosive tropical bouquet, where the succulent sweetness of mango meets the floral, tangy punch of passionfruit. The palate is defined by a clean, refreshing sourness that brightens the succulent fruit flavors, supported by a delicate, doughy wheat malt backbone. This sessionable ale finishes remarkably crisp and dry, offering a bright, effervescent experience that perfectly balances fruit-forward intensity with a refined, puckering tartness.

Appearance. 2–3 SRM (straw to pale gold), typically with an orange hue from fruit additions; slight haze to hazy. Large white head with poor retention and high effervescence.

Aroma. High intensity; dominant sharply sour lactic character accompanied by prominent notes of ripe mango, pungent passionfruit, and guava. Light doughy or raw bread dough wheat malt; no hop aroma.

Taste. Initial impression is a clean, assertive lactic sourness. Dominant tropical flavors of passionfruit and mango are well-integrated with a grainy, bready wheat malt base. Bitterness is undetectable; balance is strictly between acidity and fruit. Very dry, crisp finish with a lingering tartness.

Mouthfeel. Light body; very high carbonation provides a prickly, effervescent sensation. No alcohol warmth. Sharp, refreshing acidity without astringency.

Tropadelic is a fresh, fruity and deliciously tropical Berliner Weisse made with Mango, Guava & Passionfruit.

We’re always working to push the boundaries of what we’re brewing at Bad Seed Brewing, and this beer is no exception.

Last time we brewed a Berliner Weisse - Crimson Dawn - we used 450 kgs of fruits. With Tropadelic we’re using 650 kgs of fruit - so a good deal more than previously.

The result is a very fruit forward Berliner Weisse with heaps of tropical - or, if you will - Tropadelic - aromas and flavors. Imagine a Solero ice-lolly combined with a refreshing and tart Berliner Weisse. It’s pretty delicious.
