Super Symmetry presents as a vibrant, contemporary American IPA that leans into the approachability of a session-strength ale. The use of Simcoe, Amarillo, and Idaho-7 Cryo creates a layered sensory experience defined by bright citrus zest, crushed pine needles, and lush tropical notes of mango and apricot. Visually, its pale golden hue is shrouded in a persistent haze. The palate is driven by these hop-forward characteristics, supported by a clean, lean malt backbone that ensures a crisp, refreshing finish. It balances high hop intensity with a moderate 5% alcohol presence, delivering a punchy, fruit-driven character and a snappy bitterness that invites another sip.
Appearance. Pale gold to medium yellow (3–6 SRM). Opaque to heavy haze with a thick, frothy white head that shows excellent persistence and leaves significant lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop-driven bouquet featuring prominent notes of grapefruit peel, tangerine, and resinous pine. Distinctive stone fruit and tropical mango aromas emerge from the Idaho-7 Cryo. Malt is very low, presenting as a faint cracker or neutral grain scent. Fermentation is clean with only light esters.
Taste. Initial hop punch of citrus and tropical fruit, followed by a mid-palate of pine and earthy undertones. Moderate to high bitterness provides a firm structure but remains smooth. The malt flavor is low, providing a neutral, grainy support. The finish is dry and crisp with a lingering hoppy aftertaste of citrus pith and resin.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, soft texture. Moderate to medium-high carbonation. Alcohol warmth is negligible, and there is no perceived astringency.
