Bad Seed Brewing PØL delivers a vibrant, modern take on the American IPA, balancing traditional Pacific Northwest character with contemporary tropical depth. The hop profile is headlined by Mosaic and Mosaic Cryo, which impart layers of ripe blueberry and juicy stone fruit, while Centennial and Simcoe provide a foundational old school structure of resinous pine and bright grapefruit zest. This sessionable West Coast-style ale pours brilliant gold, leading with a sharp, clean bitterness that highlights the hop complexity over a lean, grainy malt base. Its finish is decidedly crisp and dry, making it a refreshing, hop-forward experience that bridges the gap between classic resin and modern fruit-driven aromatics.

Appearance. Pours a brilliant, medium gold with a tall, frothy white head that shows good persistence and leaves fine lacing. Clarity is very high, consistent with a clean West Coast profile.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of blueberry and tropical mango from the Mosaic and Mosaic Cryo. This is complemented by a classic piney resin and grapefruit citrus backbone from Simcoe and Centennial. Malt is low and clean, providing a faint cracker-like support without esters.

Taste. The initial impression is aggressively hop-forward with flavors of citrus rind, pine needles, and tropical berries. Bitterness is firm and assertive, lingering into a very dry, crisp finish. The malt character is low, offering a neutral, grainy sweetness that stays in the background. The aftertaste is clean, emphasizing resinous and citrusy hop oils.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, crispy texture. Carbonation is medium-high, enhancing the refreshing quality. Alcohol warmth is negligible, and there is no perceived astringency.
