This Oatmeal Stout presents a modern homage to English traditions, defined by an exceptionally high 40% oat grist featuring flaked, torrified, and Golden Naked Oats. The resulting sensory profile is dominated by a luxurious, silky texture that carries deep layers of dark chocolate and rich cold brew coffee. Fermentation with a Southern English Ale strain introduces nuanced esters of tart currants and jammy dark fruits, providing a sophisticated counterpoint to the roasted malt backbone. The finish is smooth and rounded, harmonizing the nutty depth of the varied oats with a clean, lingering bitterness and a soft, creamy conclusion.

Appearance. Deep brown to opaque black (SRM 35+). Features a thick, creamy, and persistent tan head with excellent lacing; clarity is opaque.

Aroma. Moderate intensity with a prominent coffee-and-cream and milk chocolate impression. Noticeable grainy-nutty notes from the heavy oat addition. Medium-low fruity esters reminiscent of dark berries and currants are present, with no detectable hop aroma.

Taste. Initial flavors of dark chocolate and cold-steeped coffee are supported by a complex, toasty-nutty oat character. Fruit character is moderate, displaying notes of currants and dark fruits.
