This modern American IPA presents a vibrant interplay between classic resinous notes and contemporary fruit. Brewed with incredibly light malts and a touch of wheat, the base remains lean and unobtrusive, allowing the hop profile to command the stage. Centennial and Simcoe drive a bold, dank, and citrusy foundation reminiscent of traditional West Coast examples. This is elevated by the addition of Vic Secret, which introduces a layer of bright tropical complexity. Fermented with a clean US-Ale yeast, the result is a crisp, highly drinkable ale with a sharp, refreshing finish tailored for warm-weather sessionability.

Appearance. Pale gold (approx 5 SRM). Brilliant clarity with a tall, persistent white head that leaves fine lacing on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity hop-forward aroma. Pronounced notes of pine resin and grapefruit zest from the Simcoe and Centennial are layered with passion fruit and pineapple from the Vic Secret. Malt is very low, suggesting crackery grain. Fermentation is clean with no significant esters.

Taste. Crisp entry with immediate, firm hop bitterness. Flavors of dank earthiness, lemon peel, and tropical fruit dominate. The malt profile is neutral and dry, showcasing a subtle bready wheat character. Clean fermentation profile. The finish is bone-dry and lingeringly bitter with a resinous aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, crisp texture. Moderate-high carbonation. Very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth. Minimal astringency despite the high hop load.
