Bad Seed Brewing

This Hazy IPA showcases a vibrant Southern Hemisphere profile, bursting with a juicy intensity and a lush, pillowy texture. The aromatics are led by the punchy, tropical notes of Nelson Sauvin and Riwaka, offering layers of passionfruit and crushed gooseberry. Citra Cryo adds a sharp, concentrated citrus edge, while the addition of Southern Cross Sub-Zero Hop Kief and Waimea provides a complex resinous depth and bright lime zest. A soft, bready malt base supports the massive hop saturation without interference. The palate is velvety, delivering a wash of stone fruit and white grape that finishes with a gentle, restrained bitterness typical of the style.

Appearance. Pours a hazy, pale gold to light orange (4-6 SRM) with a characteristic opaque glow. It is crowned by a dense, rocky, white head with excellent retention and fine lacing.

Aroma. High-intensity hop aroma dominated by tropical passionfruit, mango, and distinct white grape. Bright citrus notes of grapefruit and lime are present, backed by a clean, lightly bready malt character and neutral fermentation profile.

Taste. High to very high fruity hop flavors featuring peach, melon, and citrus zest. The malt provides a low-to-medium bready sweetness that balances the hop oils. Bitterness is low-to-moderate and smooth, lacking any harshness, leading to an off-dry, fruit-forward finish.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, smooth, and creamy texture. Carbonation is moderate. The mouthfeel is notably supple without being cloying, and the alcohol provides a very light, well-integrated warmth.
