This New England Double IPA presents an explosive sensory profile driven by a heavy-handed application of Mosaic, Mosaic Cryo, Simcoe, and Idaho-7 Cryo hops. The aroma is dominated by saturated notes of tropical mango, overripe pineapple, and vibrant blueberry, underpinned by a resinous pine backbone from the Simcoe. On the palate, a soft, pillowy texture carries intense flavors of stone fruit and apricot, courtesy of the Idaho-7 Cryo, while Mosaic adds layers of complex berry and citrus. Despite its strength, the finish is remarkably smooth with a balanced, juice-like bitterness that masks the warmth of the alcohol, ensuring high drinkability.
Appearance.Deep gold to pale orange (7-9 SRM). Opaque, milky haze with a thick, creamy white head that shows excellent persistence and heavy glass lacing.
Aroma.High intensity. Intensely fruity with prominent mango, passion fruit, and blueberry from the Mosaic hops. Supporting notes of grapefruit zest and earthy pine from Simcoe are complemented by a sweet, stone-fruit perfume from the Idaho-7. Low, bready malt presence with a clean fermentation profile.
Taste.Immediate burst of juicy tropical fruits including pineapple, mango, and peach. The hop flavors are layered and complex, featuring the berry-like qualities of Mosaic Cryo and the resinous, citrusy punch of Simcoe. Bitterness is firm but rounded and smooth, lacking any harshness. Finishes medium-dry with a lingering nectar-like sweetness and tropical hop oil persistence.
Mouthfeel.Medium-full body with a soft, creamy, and velvety texture. Moderate carbonation. A smooth, gentle alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated, providing a luxurious feel without any hop-derived astringency.
