Bad Bones SWERVE is a vibrant American IPA defined by a saturated hop profile resulting from the collaboration of Citra, Motueka, and NZ Cascade. The Citra hops provide an intense foundation of tropical mango and bright citrus, while the Motueka contributes a distinctive, zesty lime character reminiscent of a fresh mojito. NZ Cascade rounds out the experience with nuanced floral notes and soft grapefruit. A clean, crackery malt base allows these New World varieties to shine without interference. The experience concludes with a crisp, resinous bitterness and a dry finish, showcasing a masterfully balanced hop-forward expression typical of the style.

Appearance. Luminous deep gold color (approx. 7 SRM) with excellent clarity and a brilliant sheen. Crowned by a thick, persistent white head that exhibits fine bead structure and leaves significant lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of sweet lime, grapefruit zest, and crushed pineapple. Very low, clean, grainy malt sweetness provides a neutral background. The fermentation profile is exceptionally clean, focusing entirely on the fresh, resinous quality of the New Zealand and American hops.

Taste. Bold initial impression of lime and tropical fruit. Strong hop flavor mirrors the aroma, offering layers of citrus peel, passionfruit, and a touch of pine. Medium-high bitterness provides a firm, structural backbone without being harsh. Low malt character offers subtle bready support. The finish is medium-dry and crisp, leaving a lingering, pleasant citrus-resin aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, slightly oily hop texture. Moderate carbonation provides a refreshing, prickly bite. Alcohol warmth is very light and well-integrated. No perceived astringency or hop burn.
