This German Pils presents a sophisticated bridge between tradition and modern dry-hopping. Built on a foundation of Eraclea Italian Pilsner malt, it offers a clean, cane sugar-like perceived sweetness that gracefully balances a crisp, dry finish. The hop profile is exceptionally expressive, featuring the classic herbal signature of Saaz, the grassy and fruity Sauvignon Blanc notes of Hallertau Blanc, and a bright lemon and floral lift from Styrian Kolibri. It is a refreshing, light-bodied lager that respects its continental roots while offering a vibrant, Northwest-inspired aromatic complexity and high-clarity presentation.
Appearance. Straw to deep yellow (3-4 SRM) with brilliant clarity. Pours with a dense, creamy, long-lasting white head that leaves significant lacing on the glass.
Aroma. Moderate-high hop intensity featuring prominent herbal and spicy notes from Saaz, complemented by white grape and gooseberry facets of Hallertau Blanc. A bright lemon and floral top note from Styrian Kolibri is layered over a low, clean, grainy-sweet malt presence reminiscent of fresh dough and crackers.
Taste. Initial clean, grainy malt flavor from the Eraclea malt is quickly overtaken by a firm hop bitterness and complex flavors of dried herbs, lemongrass, and white currants. The balance is decisively bitter but not harsh, leading to a crisp, dry, and minerally finish with a lingering herbal and citrus aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with moderate-high carbonation. Crisp and clean on the palate with a refreshing snap. No alcohol warmth or astringency, providing a highly sessionable mouthfeel.
