Avery’s Karma is an intricate Belgian Pale Ale that highlights the expressive, estery character of its unique Belgian yeast strain. The sensory profile is defined by a vibrant bouquet of ripe pear, red apple, and subtle orange citrus, supported by a foundation of bready and toasty malt. Despite its farmhouse inspiration, the beer maintains an elegant balance, featuring a smooth, biscuity mid-palate and a restrained floral hop presence. With a medium-light body and a crisp, dry finish, it delivers a complex yet highly sessionable experience that emphasizes fermentation-derived complexity over aggressive bitterness. Appearance. Amber to copper in color with very good clarity. It features a creamy, rocky, white head with good persistence and light lacing.
Aroma. Moderate bready and toasty malt aroma with hints of honey. Moderate to high fruitiness, specifically pear, orange, and apple. Low floral hop character and a very faint, peppery phenol note.
Taste. Initial soft, smooth, biscuity malt flavor with light caramel notes. Moderate fruitiness of pear and lemon peel. Medium-low bitterness is supportive and well-balanced. The finish is dry and clean with a light lingering herbal hop note.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth palate. Medium-high carbonation provides a lively mouthfeel. Alcohol warmth is low and well-integrated.
