Electric Sunshine is a vibrant Fruit Beer that leads with a tropical and berry-forward bouquet. Brimming with a kaleidoscope of fruit, the sensory profile is dominated by the lush, succulent character of papaya and pineapple, providing a sun-drenched sweetness. These tropical notes are sharpened by the tangy, green zest of kiwi and the subtle, earthy tartness of huckleberry. The base beer remains lean and supportive, allowing the fruit to shine without becoming cloying. It finishes crisp and incredibly refreshing, making it an ideal choice for warm-weather sipping, where the interplay of exotic fruits creates a bright, electric sensation.
Appearance. Pale gold to straw (3-5 SRM) with a slight haze from the fruit and wheat protein. Forms a moderate, white, frothy head with fair retention and light lacing.
Aroma. Moderate to high intensity of fresh tropical fruit. Strong notes of ripe pineapple and sweet papaya are most prominent, backed by a unique berry tartness from huckleberries. Low bready malt and very low floral hop aroma. Clean fermentation profile with no significant esters aside from the fruit additions.
Taste. Initial impression is a burst of tropical fruit juice. Pineapple and papaya flavors are well-integrated, followed by a mid-palate 'zap' of kiwi-like acidity. The huckleberry adds a light red fruit complexity to the finish. Hop bitterness is low, serving only to balance the fruit. Malt is a subtle, crackery background. The finish is dry, clean, and dominated by lingering fruit essences rather than sugar.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a slightly crisp texture. Carbonation is moderate-high, enhancing the bright acidity of the fruit. No alcohol warmth. Very low astringency from the fruit skins.
