Juicy Vortex is a high-saturation Double IPA that centers on a tropical sensory whirlpool. Leveraging the aromatic compounds of Idaho7 and Talus, the profile is dominated by ripe mango, crushed pineapple, and distinct notes of stone fruit and creamed coconut. A massive dry hop featuring Amarillo adds layers of bright orange zest and floral depth. While the hop intensity is profound, a subtle residual sweetness and light alcohol warmth provide a necessary structural balance against the firm bitterness. This execution emphasizes a modern, lush approach to the style, delivering an intensely fruity and saturated palate with a remarkably smooth finish.
Appearance. Deep gold to pale orange (SRM 7-9). Persistent off-white head with dense lacing and good retention. Presents with a soft, uniform haze consistent with modern dry-hopping techniques.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring a complex blend of tropical and stone fruits. Prominent notes of mango, pineapple, and apricot are accented by a unique coconut and pink grapefruit character. A light citrus-orange backdrop persists over a clean, neutral, cracker-like malt base with no diacetyl.
Taste. Initial impression is an explosion of tropical fruit saturation, led by mango and stone fruit. Mid-palate reveals pineapple and a hint of resinous pine. High hop bitterness is firm but smooth, never harsh. The malt provides a soft, bready support that balances a light residual sweetness. It finishes medium-dry with a lingering aftertaste of tropical fruit skin and citrus peel.
