Despite the increased strength, the beer maintains its heritage with a remarkably dry, toasty finish. Appearance. Deep mahogany to dark brown with brilliant garnet highlights. Features a large, persistent, tan-colored head with good lacing; clarity is excellent despite the dark hue.
Aroma. Moderate intensity featuring notes of dark chocolate and roasted coffee. A distinctive but restrained bouquet of aromatic maple is present, accompanied by a whisper of clean, woody smoke. Clean lager yeast character with no fruity esters.
