This Hazy IPA pours with an inviting, glowing opacity, releasing a vibrant bouquet driven by an innovative hop blend of Loral, Cashmere, and Nelson Sauvin. On the nose and palate, it bursts with luscious, juicy notes of sweet cantaloupe melon and bright white grape, balanced by subtle floral and soft citrus undertones. The mouthfeel is exceptionally creamy and smooth, offering a plush, soft-textured vehicle for the intense tropical and orchard fruit flavors. A gentle, restrained bitterness in the finish keeps this modern ale incredibly refreshing, showcasing the hops' aromatic brilliance without harshness.
Appearance. Pours straw to pale gold (3-5 SRM) with a deep, glowing opacity and a beautiful hazy shine. Crowned by a dense, rocky, meringue-like white head with excellent retention and thick, persistent lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominant, exploding with ripe cantaloupe melon, white wine grapes, and sweet tropical papaya, underpinned by a delicate floral top note. Low, clean, bready malt acts as a subtle neutral background, while clean fermentation characteristics keep the hop-derived esters cleanly integrated without clash.
Taste. Initial impression is intensely juicy and fruit-forward, featuring prominent flavors of sweet cantaloupe melon, fleshy peach, and distinct white grape. Soft, bready malt sweetness provides a supportive, light backbone. Bitterness is low to moderate, well-masked by the soft body and high fruitiness, yielding an off-dry, smooth, and clean finish with a lingering fruity aftertaste devoid of hop burn or harshness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, pillowy, and exceptionally smooth texture. Carbonation is moderate, contributing to the plush mouthfeel. A very mild, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present, without any harsh astringency, hop burn, or acidic twang.
